Comfort-first care
From heated neck pillows to noise-canceling headphones and same-day crowns, we invest in the small details that make a real difference. Dental anxiety is real, and we take it seriously — with patience, not judgment.
A neighborhood dental practice built on warmth, modern craft, and a simple promise: treat every patient like family and every smile like our own.
MyColeman Dental began in 2008 as a modest two-operatory office with a clear vision: bring honest, high-quality dentistry to families across the Coleman neighborhood. Dr. Amara Coleman had spent years in larger corporate practices and saw too many patients treated like appointments on a schedule — not people with stories, fears, and busy lives.
She and her husband converted a 1920s craftsman bungalow into a warm, light-filled clinic where every detail — from the reception desk to the operatory lighting — was designed to feel more like a living room than a waiting room. Sixteen years later, we've grown to a team of twelve, but the soul of the practice is unchanged. We still know our patients by name, still remember the name of the dog waiting in the car, and still take the time to explain before we treat.
"Dentistry, at its best, is a long conversation — not a quick procedure. We built this practice to honor that conversation."
— Dr. Amara Coleman, FounderOur philosophy is simple. We blend clinical excellence with the kind of warmth you'd expect from a trusted neighbor. Here are the principles that shape every visit.
From heated neck pillows to noise-canceling headphones and same-day crowns, we invest in the small details that make a real difference. Dental anxiety is real, and we take it seriously — with patience, not judgment.
3D imaging, digital impressions, laser therapy, and intraoral cameras — we adopt technology that improves outcomes and shortens chair time, and we skip the trends that don't serve our patients.
We partner with three local schools on oral-health education, donate care to survivors of domestic violence through Coleman House, and host a free clinic day every October. This neighborhood raised us — we try to give back.
You'll always see your x-rays on screen, always get a written estimate before treatment, and always hear the truth — even when that means recommending the most conservative option instead of the most profitable one.
We see toddlers, teens, parents, and grandparents. Many of our team members have been here for over a decade, and many of our patients span three or four generations of one family. That continuity is the heart of what we do.
Oral health is connected to heart health, pregnancy outcomes, and diabetes management. We screen for more than cavities — we look for signs that connect the mouth to the rest of the body and coordinate with your physician when needed.
Our team is a mix of seasoned clinicians and fresh perspectives — all committed to making your visit calm, clear, and yes, even enjoyable. Meet four of the people you'll get to know.

The first voice you'll hear on the phone. Insurance, scheduling, billing questions — Jordan makes the logistics feel easy.
Our office occupies a renovated 1920s bungalow with a modern, light-filled addition. Every space — from the reading nook in reception to the private consult room — was designed to put you at ease.
Whether you're new to the neighborhood or looking for a practice that treats you like a person, we'd love to welcome you. Book a visit, take a tour, or simply stop by to say hello.
